I liked the idea that we all live within our chosen ‘boxes’ and once we step inside we become ‘true believers’. I am hoping to continue my searching and staying out of boxes!

Fully enjoy our story. I also appreciated the 2 Ark believers, Creationists and Scientists.

To me, it’s literally incredible people believe the Ark and 6,000 year old earth existence.

It’s also amazing there are those who think science answers all.

To me, physics is the study of theology and the more we learn the more God’s magnificence is.

Our fate is never to be able to what God is despite the more we learn

"They live inside their story, [...] the way Noah and his family live in their ark, sealed up and insulated, provisioned with meaning and purpose, but with only one small window to look through."

My favorite sentence by far.

Also including the depiction of gladiatorial combat vs. dinosaurs was a nice touch. The image conveys the full absurdity of it in a way words can't.

Ditto. Maybe I read this too early in the morning but there was too much for my simple hillbilly Colfax brain to completely comprehend. And maybe I like this state of mind. For example, I did not even know of this Ark Encounter - I did some mid read Googling and think I know more. And probably want to visit to quell my curiosity next time I am in Kentucky. And I love Bill Nye, and my three daughters have experienced and have been encouraged to become scientists as my wife is a scientist. Still, we have a faith practice that gives us human tools to make it through the day. Yes, I did mouse click on the link to the YouTube discussion between Bill Nye and Ken Ham it was awkward, dicey and informative. I like this out of the box share. Well, done.

Mystery is the only answer to the question “Why do we exist.” We still don’t know what happens after death. There just has to be something or this very big universe we inhabit has no purpose. Interesting article!
