Enjoyed this. What is the (the model of the) plane? When my brother returned from Vietnam (Captain, USAF) he took me up in a Cesna and did a back roll. He said, “that’s nothing, let’s do a front roll.” I said “no thanks.”

What a great memory. Reminds me of my only time in a small plane. It was during the contra war in Nicaragua and I was working on a project with the Ministry of Education in Bluefields on the Caribbean side of the country. The ministry would not let Gringos travel by land through contra territory, so sent us by air. Coming through a cloudbank on decent, the lagoon at Bluefields suddenly sprawled below us. An image that was surprising and that your story brought back. Thank you.
